Mr. Alf M. Prasch releases autobiography on his 80th birthday

On February 15, 2021, Mr. Alf M. Prasch celebrates his 80th birthday by releasing his autobiography titled “Mein Leben als Architekte. 1960-2020” (engl. My Life as an Architect: 1960-2020).

In his autobiography, Alf M. Prasch sketches his journey from being a refugee child to his years as a student in the then-divided Berlin, leading up to his esteemed career as an architect. Through vivid language, he narrates the process of architectural creation as he experienced and engaged with it in his extensive portfolio of over 300 projects. His architectural achievements range from the Sheraton Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the World Trade Center in Dresden, the Bleichenhof and Spitalerhof in Hamburg’s city center, the BallinStadt Emigration Museum on Veddel island, to residential and office buildings in HafenCity, and the construction of the future Airbus Service Center in Hamburg-Finkenwerder. The autobiography also includes a catalogue of approximately 300 works, along with location and name indices, and a foreword by former Chief Building Director Prof. Jörn Walter.
