Planning permission granted – the hotel is scheduled to open in 2026
The building application for the property on the approx. 12,000 square metre site with a gross floor area of 4,000 square metres in Schleusenstrasse has been granted. Planning is progressing rapidly and construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2025.
The target for the realisation and opening of the hotel with 115 rooms and 40 parking spaces is 2026. “A construction project directly on the dyke, at the interface between urbanity and the harbour area, is a very special project, even for us with more than 70 completed buildings,” says Frank Buken CEO pbp. “I am delighted that we have now signed the contract with Premier Inn for the project in Bremerhaven and will be acting as a service developer,” emphasises Michael Garstka, Managing Partner of LIST Develop. “A hotel in this excellent location in Bremerhaven is ideal for our location concept and our target guest group,” says Mathias Schotten, Head of Development at Premier Inn Germany. The 7-storey building has a direct “sea view”.
Ecological aspects are also taken into account in the new building: the property will have a green roof, which will also be equipped with a photovoltaic system. The building will be heated and cooled by heat pumps, which will be supplied with electricity from the solar system to ensure a high level of energy efficiency.
