With only one vote short, the Hamburg-based architectural firm prasch,buken, partner, along with its partner offices Matteo Thun and FerrantiSchnell Architects, narrowly missed the 1st prize.
The “precise, pragmatic, and sensitive” design by pbp demonstrates, as per the jury’s verdict on June 1st under the presidency of Nikolaus Goetze of gmp, “that building with wood can harness its own strength without having to become a ‘cabin’.”
